MANAGING DIRECTOR
Michael trained as a Quantity Surveyor joining the industry straight from school in 1985 and has over 25 years of broad experience of major commercial developments in the UK and Ireland including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Alban Gate, MOD Whitehall, Emirates Stadium, The Jack Lynch Tunnel to name a few.
In 1995 Michael established MWA Consultants Limited, a QS practice specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering services surveying. This practice still runs today and employs around 10 full time M&E QS’s who are seconded to major contractors throughout the UK.
In 2000 Michael formed a specialist builderswork in connection company which was the springboard for Hurstmore. Working mainly for M&E contractors and offering a BWIC service, the predecessor of Hurstmore quickly gained a reputation for accurate pricing and implementation of BWIC elements of an M&E contract that normally would be guessed by the estimators.
In more recent years, Hurstmore has increased its presence in the market place and diversified to offer project management resources as well as residential development opportunities.
Michael is still very much at the forefront of the business and is overall in charge of all operations on a day to day basis.
ACCOUNTS MANAGER
Sara is a degree qualified QS who has worked alongside Michael for over 20 years on various companies. Having gained her degree while working for Matthew Hall Engineering in the late 80’s she joined with Michael in early 1995 to form MWA Consultants Limited.
Sara is responsible for the financial management of both MWA and Hurstmore and controls the day to day cashflow and accounts along with contributing to the running of many of the projects from the head office in Petersfield.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR
Jane has worked with Michael and Sara for over 12 years within various businesses. Initially starting as an office assistant, Jane has worked with Michael on many projects and has developed herself into a project administrator working principally on the residential side of the business.
PROJECT MANAGER
Sam joined Hurstmore in 2016 and was instrumental in the running and final delivery of the Chasemore stud farm development as the on site project manager.
Sam has a background in groundworks and landscaping development which he has developed into a far more reaching capability of general construction management.
Sam has worked extensively on commercial projects such as the Old Bailey in London and is used to working in a unique listed environment.
TRAINEE PROJECT MANAGER
Ellen began working for Hurstmore after finishing university in 2016, mainly aiding with the day-to-day office admin. After spending a few years expanding her knowledge and interest of how the construction industry works, she started training as a project manager.
Ellen now helps oversee and manage the residential side of the business, to further her confidence and expertise of the industry as a whole.
